I want Rettig at this point. i'm already sick about what's obviously going to happen.

JJ v2.0

Rettig has looked good in the passing drills. sad he won't get an opportunity. hopefully he leaves and has success elsewhere.

What a sad existence you must lead.

I think everyone who believes Les has a pre-conceived plan on who and what type of QB he wants can be put at ease. Cam is making the call. Miles brought him in because he's a friend, has a range of experience and is fully capable of making the right decision on the direction of the offense. Miles trusts him and I'm sure Cameron has no reservation in standingup to Miles if he thinks a particular QB should get the start. I also doubt that Cameron will jeopardize his credibility as an OC just to please Les.

Sorry, miserable might not be the right word or phrase. How about "completely fricking clueless"?

Posted by AlwysATgr quote: What about all the previous year's reports that he was very accurate and earning the praise of the staff for his play in last years practices and scrimmages???? My thoughts as well. The reports on AJ were mostly positive last year. Now, they're mostly negative. If Crowton was still on staff, he would be getting flak to no end about how the QB is regressing.

Last year he was the backup, this year hes the front runner. Grass is always greener on the other side to lsu fans.

I just simply think that with Cameron's range of experience he won't be tied to some unwritten rule about true freshmen starting or belief that a dual threat QB is always going to be better than a traditional style QB.

First, everything I've seen and read indicates that Harris and AJ are both pass first QBs and running ability is more of a bonus. Second, considering the quality and experience of the O-line (and addition of Grimes) and quality of RBs, we don't have to rely on a running QB to gain yards. This puts Cam in the comfortable position of being able to select the QB that gives us the best chance to win rather than forcing a particular skill set into offense. Given that, it makes sense to me that all QBs will get a solid look and the best QB by this fall will get the start.

Thanks for the backup, my man. I was standing just behind Chavis.

As far as Harris going to class: the class in question is english which meets directly across from my own class at that same hour. My buddy is in that class with Harris. On Wednesday he told me how Harris is never there and when he is, he just sleeps. Yes, it's a fact the staff checks SOME classes for attendance. Not all. I'm in sports admin which is a degree saturated with athletes. Class checking doesn't happen all that often.

As far as my claim to have been at each practice: this is a fact. I do video/photography for a major site that covers LSU.

Therefore, I am Legit

Jordan Jefferson was pretty good by the goaline too, who gives a shite? We need a QB who can read a defense, complete passes at a high percentage and avoid turnovers. We have RB's that can score in the redzone, we need a QB to get us to the redzone. If either Jennings or Harris can do that this year, then LSU will win alot of games. If we have to rely heavily on the RB's and defense we probably lose 2 - 3 again, which still isn't too bad considering who we lost on offense.

you can't put too much stock into the spring game, this year. the WR's are pretty beat up right now, so he may be throwing to at least one walk on.

From what I can tell of Jennings in only a drive and a game, his decision making is great. His accuracy seems to be the problem. If he can put those passes right on the mark a high number of times in the Spring game, no matter if they are completed by the WR or not, we have our starting QB.

His job will get harder the more film is available on his tendencies.

After re watching the game, it is all on his accuracy. Almost every pass he threw was to the right player. The guy has the decision making part, he needs the accuracy. I'd like to see him in another game simulation to confirm this though.

shite we know they can run a 1 yard qb sneak

Maybe the coaches are determining their abilities on the goal line. I know it is a crazy idea but just maybe.

maybe if we kick a few field goals in those situations we don't go and win the SEC? I don't know why folks get worked up about a practice situation that has been run by every team in every practice since football began.
