3 years of Daniela tells us he will have some weeks games and some good games.

There are way worse QBs than Daniel’s and that’s true across the last 3 years.

People love the bad games though.

Unfortunately with the present state of our offensive line, the most important ability for our QB is his ability to run for his life.

Kelly is doing Nuss a favor not exposing him to failure and injury.

I would like to have seen Nuss get more playing time against cupcakes like New Mexico and Southern but that is water under the bridge.

Hopefully after a full year to recruit and transfer in Oline talent next season we will get to see that Nuss is a remarkably talented QB who has great arm talent, an ability to see the field, and enough scrambling ability to get out of trouble when needed.

BTW his father is an exNFL QB and is the QB coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
Being the son of a football coach seems to offer some advantage, think Joe B and Bo Nix.

I'm just sayin...

Does he? The kid throws into coverage all the time.

Better arm and can see the field better. JD can't see past 5 yards unless he scrambles and gets some space to throw. But since he is terribly inaccurate throwing on the move, it really doesn't matter.
Nuss made no mistakes against Auburn. He played very well against NM with the one receivers. He made very poor decision against Southern and fans refuse to forget that. His TE was knocked down and he just wanted to try to make a play, because he gets so few opportunities. Yes, a poor decision, and hopefully it was a learning experience for him. I am prety sure that if he had started over 30 games in his career, he would be a far superior qb to JD, just based on his arm strength and field vision.

Perhaps he is not afraid to throw the ball into tight windows.

Really he gets so few opportunities and so little time in the pocket perhaps he is forcing it a tad

But Nuss is an accurate enough passer that he can complete those tight window throws that Daniel's is afraid to even attempt

That is BS. The Offensive line preserved the victory vs Auburn. The passing game wasn't working so Williams ran for first downs, behind the line, to preserve the win.
Daniels looked like a Meerkat, standing back looking from sideline to sideline as guys flashed open. He does not have the ability to anticipate when a receiver is going to be open. So he hesitates and has to run.

This hot take is as old as the pyramids...

This OL is not the best in the SEC but aint the worst either. In the last few wks they have become somewhat serviceable enough to run an offense.

Pass protection is 50% on the QB. He has to know where pressure is coming from and how he is going to deal with it such as hot route, audible, shift RB or TE, etc... I have been watching football for many yrs and I dont remember a game where the QB did not get pressured. What sorts the wheat from the chaf is how they deal with it.

. Auburn’s QB played far better than JD5 who has started for more than three seasons now. I have seen enough of him to know he’s not getting any better.

We still do not know about Nuss. Maybe it’s time we tried to learn whether he can play.

That's all most of us are saying.

The other thing is we are gonna need Nuss this season as JD is proving to be a bit brittle. Giving up on Nuss means throwing away any chance of winning WHEN, not if, JD gets hurt again.

Again, is he?

He has a career 55% completion percentage and a lot of interceptions:

Feels like reputation is way beyond reality.
