Development = Recruiting
Can't develop someone with limited talent.
We need our QB to follow the Saban philosophy…..Don't try to win the game, focus on NOT losing the game instead.

Who will start at quarterback for the Tigers next year? In the loss to Notre Dame, which handed LSU a five-loss season, it was another subpar performance from sophomore Anthony Jennings, who started in 12 of the team’s 13 games but never got over the hump and settled in as an efficient passer. "I think our football team requires excellence at the quarterback spot,” LSU head coach Les Miles told LSUSports.net’s Emily Dixon after the loss. "I think we were 7-for-14 passing. That’s 50-percent. That’s not good enough. “ What was LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron’s take on the 13 games now behind them? "Up and down,” Cameron said. "We all saw that.” But, will there be change at quarterback to get things back on track? "Great question,” Cameron said. "I’m not sure now is that time.” Miles, however, was a bit more eager to share his thoughts on where things stand going into Jennings’ third spring with the team and Brandon Harris’ second - meaning after this semester, both enter the summer stretch with more than enough time for development. And with that said, Miles isn’t ready to hand Jennings the job. “What we will do is go into spring and throw it wide open yet again,” Miles said. "We will let both guys compete, and I think competition will make the difference. The quarterback that comes out of spring will either be one of the two guys. Whoever it is will be much improved. "It’s a guy who we will expect to throw the football for 250 (yards) and be able to be 20-for-31 and be a very capable and very competent passer.”
So Miles says this about QB improvement:
"I think our football team requires excellence at the quarterback spot,”

And Cameron says this about the QB position:

Seems to me these two are singing different tunes.

I don't see it that way. Cameron is both of these guys position coaches and both have their ego's and sensitivities. so exactly what should he say that doesn't rip one them a new a-hole? Cameron knows we need better play from that position and i'm sure he's doing everything he can to affect that BUT changing QB's just for the sake of changing them is not good coaching imo. while we see that AJ has not performed up to expectations we don't see where BH has warranted the confidence to replace him. hell, man there is no other plausible explanation.

I don't know. Just watched the video and Cam highlighted, "Anthony, you saw he did some great things tonight. And I think DeSean Smith, their ability to connect tonight maybe a handful of times...I thought a lot of positives".
It could be spin but I don't know.

AJ CAN get better.....put in the work during the off-season and prove a lot of people wrong.
And so can Harris
We just have to hope Cam knows what these guys need and make em better.

Hard to see Harris getting starts next year, you already hear the party line of experience. Hope Miles is serious when he says the position is open but then again he has been saying Harris would play some for two months now and nothing. *shrugs* After all Harris did better last spring and during fall camp but never got the chance to develop like AJ, seems Miles has made up his mind. Mediocrity at qb, the second coming of JJ.
