I am a Tiger fan and always try to be supportive of the players.
JM looked like the best of the 3, but he just isn't a quality SEC starting quarterback. For us to be an 8 win team with him under center, the defense and running game better be perfect.
MB and LN both need a lot more work.
LN is physically there and might be decent if he ever fixes his accuracy. Unfortunately, he tends to try to show off his arm which leads to so many incompletions. In other words, he is throwing too hard.
When MB was being recruited I said he might see the field as a redshirt junior. My assessment hasn't changed. He does have the highest upside, but he will be given a great disservice if lack of success from our other qbs forces him on the field anytime soon. Scary thing is that I suspect he will probably have to play this year and there is no way his body will withstand the week to week pounding from SEC defenses.
I hope I am wrong and that all 3 have amazing careers for LSU, but I don't see that happening. Frankly, all of our qbs would probably have more success at schools like NSU or ULL.

You may be right but that is a pretty heavy reaction to a spring game.

We are so fricked. Our defense will at least keep us in games. God bless Dave Aranda

Man, if Narcisse could fix a few things he’d be a BEAST

With a little work narcisse has by far the highest upside

I could dig up my dead grandpa, strap a rubber band from his shoulder to his arm, point him in the general direction of a receiver and his corpse would have better potential than what LSU has.
LSU hasn't had a decent QB since Mettenberger.
We are going to get smacked around this year. Strap in (or strap on if that's what you're in to.)
if we had just one above average QB, we'd have a few more championships right now. Aranda will be a HC in 2019... hopefully at LSU.

Solid assessment. Simply put our QB's are brutal. Several passes that were completed would have been sacks and all of them would have gotten their shite pushed in multiple times with minimal blitzing or st least simple ones. Finding a top notch QB isn't easy but we ain't got one. Brennan plays nervous and will literally get killed if they put him out there. Narcisse has zero accuracy. McMillan gives us the best chance. Let me rephrase. McMillan gives us a chance.

So, you're telling me there's a chance?

I agree!!! JM gives us a chance to be successful. He's cool, calm and collective and looks extremely comfortable back there....

These QB's were protected for this game. It's scary to imagine them under full contact. There would have been a lot of sacks yesterday. JM and MB are twigs for SEC caliber defenses to crush. LN is more stout but damaged goods already with both knees.
Oh boy!
Oh boy!

Yep. People like to ignore it and hope for the best which to each his own but our problem at QB is a glaring one. Can they get better sure but let's think about that for a second. Brennan weighs 175 pounds at 6'4" and plays scared or nervous which he should be. That ain't a 4 month fix. Narcisse can't hit anything that requires anticipation and has 2 bad knees. Showed no elusivity to me which if u can't throw accurately you'll have to be. Don't ever see him being an SEC caliber QB. McMillan is what he is at this point in his career and I applaud him for improving which he clearly has. If he can get just a little better over the next 4 months we can win some games but just don't see us getting past bama or Georgia. Just those 2 losses would be a great season in my opinion. I really think at this point they need to just go with McMillan and give him the snaps. Brennan may never get there. Gotta recruit another QB this year.

I wanna see how Narcisse does without the no-contact jersey on. He did next to no running yesterday, I assume due to the no-contact rule.

Sorry, gotta disagree with this. He looked plenty elusive to me, and the "2 bad knees" comment is plain asinine.

Is this the goal for this season?

No it's not. You may not like the comment but it's the truth. He hasn't even played in like 3-4 years.

Yeah it is. His knees are repaired, this isn’t the 80’s.

Do you know how many NFL players have had multiple ACL injuries? I guess the Honey Badger has two bad knees as well. GTFO

McMillan gives us a chance to know we won’t sniff a championship. Goddamnit I want to melt
