I think Flynn had more of a hand in that production than many do. He was a very legitimate, credible threat in the passing game, which kept running lanes open. Plus, a number of games in 2007 required pass-heavy drives to win games. Auburn and Alabama (admittedly, not Flynn's best game with the terrible start) come to mind. Plus, he torched Ohio States in the BCSCG. The running game was big in 2007 but it was a pretty balanced attack.

JJ's '09 OL was more shitastic than even Mett's 2012. This is fact.
It was a pretty good pass game considering the nonexitant run blocking and constant middle protect fails.
