I definitely think OSU is feeling more pressure than we are. They haven't faced elimination before;
we were facing it, for practical purposes, starting with the Alabama series.

Going into today, they had 2 games to win one, against a team they had flat-out embarrassed earlier. They expected to win today, you could tell by some of their antics. They figured we would just roll over and die; maybe early on, or maybe later, like Fullerton did.
Didn't happen; we didn't flinch when they tried to have a big inning, didn't cave later, and they just found out that the game is over when Hess steps in.

So now, they don't have the cushion anymore, they don't have the last half of the inning, and they now have to plan to score the winning runs in 7 or so innings, because the last one or 2 looks scary.

Add to that the regular season... we'd love to win, but we're now good. Season is an unchallenged success.

THEY, on the other hand, are in a situation that should be very familiar to LSU fans- a brilliant regular season, in line to be greatest of all time, and now they have to win a rematch against a legendary program that has shown capable of playing toe-to-toe with them the last time they met. Sounds sorta like .... can't say it...

No thanks, you can feel free to do so if you're melting over my posting. I'll stick around.

You seem to be really upset that lsu fans are being positive and you are arguing about stupidity. Looks like you are the one "melting"

Bingo... they are facing the blown record season, not us. And we shall never speak of our similar situation in an unrelated sport

Show me 1 post that does so. Or, are you one of those people that think LSU fans have to all blindly believe everything another LSU fan says, no matter how absurd it is, like OSU is feeling pressure over being the away team?

Good one. I don't think that means what you think it means, fwiw.

All season, we've heard about the Big 4 for LSU foregoing the pros to come back for 1 more season. What did they come back for? It wasn't to be happy about almost winning a title.

They came back for 1 reason and 1 reason only, and it's the same thing OSU is playing for.

You sound like you're trying to convince yourself that LSU isn't having a great season.

The seniors came back to MAKE A RUN at the CWS, in large part because they didn't make it to Omaha. Sure, they want to win. But 10 yrs from now, if they lose tomorrow, they can still say: they won the SEC, the SEC tourney, they made it back to Omaha, they didn't go 2 and BBQ, and they hung a loss on the #1 team, having possibly the greatest season of all time (at least the equal to that A&M team that Big Ben came in and shut down). All this, after being in serious danger of not even hosting a regional, halfway through the season. After Monday, I don't think many outside this board (or here, even) expected them to be playing Saturday.

Oregon State on the other hand, is suddenly confronted with their own mortality, after being invincible all season long. And their legacy if they lose- they won't be gritty fighters, they will be the poster children for why you need to schedule tougher games, for right or wrong.

Both teams are not 2-1. LSU, like TCU is actually 3-1 in the CWS

Why? Because I think each team has equal pressure tomorrow?

Show me 1 post where I remotely insinuated that LSU isn't having a great season. That make no sense.
