If it isn't LSU I think a WF vs WV matchup would be great. Why? Because it would probably be the straw that breaks the camels back as far as the BCS is concerned if there is a one or two loss USC or SEC team that didn't make it.

First, a couple of observations on the top teams in the country:
Ohio State - Let's assume they beat SC, for argument's sake, any team would be huge favorite to beat them in the title game because they've proven they can't beat the big programs outside the Medium-Sized Ten. USC will romp them anyway.
Oklahoma and Missouri - No highly ranked Big 12 team, outside of Texas, has shown they can hold onto a top spot all year. Until they prove otherwise by not blowing it to Kansas or Colorado or somebody else, they're out.
West Virginia - Same thing basically. No Big East "power" has proven they can run that conference. Until they do, you can't go far enough to predict a title game.
That leaves the SEC Champion and USC. This is the only logical pre/early season choice, if there is such a thing. I don't think LSU has it this year. I hope they do, I really do, and they might. Traditionally, QB rotations don't work and it's just going to be hard for lightning to strike twice. That goes for any team in their position as defending champs.
Georgia still has to prove they belong on the big stage. They've always been right under that top level. I can't say they'll make it all the way this early.
So that leaves Florida and USC. Both teams have been at the top of the heap for a long time. Both play as if they are among the elite in college football, which they are. Until someone can beat the SEC in the title game, I can't pick anyone else...
Florida over USC for the National Championship.

With Wells injured, SC will probably cakewalk their way to the NC.
I pray they lose focus.

IMO, USC would crush Florida. Florida does not match well with SC on either side of the ball.

Florida would get murdered by USC. Don't matter no way Florida and their midget playmakers make it to the nc game.
