They should offer him to finish season as lame duck basis. All of the pressure would be off. The team could just try to make the best of it without the huge question mark over the program. I think Orgeron would do it too.
you don't think that's what goin on now?
i wish all the fans would chill and just root for LSU. it's over this year, just enjoy the games.
maybe we'll upset a team or two, i doubt it, but w/e.

less then you will lose with no HC and no idea who will be here next year. as strange as it sounds, waiting until before the last game helps you keep recruits because it shows we arent impulsive and irrational about the coaching situation here
I couldn’t disagree more. If we had a coach who conducted himself as a professional, maybe you would have a point. We do not. The last thing we need is O lame duck recruiting. That stench of desperation will drive away more recruits than the alternative.
No matter what, the new staff will have two weeks at most to salvage what they can before the early signing date. No matter what they say now, the staff and admin will not know where remaining commits and kids with interest and their families really stand until it’s official and O is gone.
We will lose out on guys either way. At least this way, the new staff has a clue who they should allocate the limited time they have toward. Wait until after the A&M game and you have a clusterfrick and time wasted on kids we no longer have a legitimate shot with.

Immediately after the A&M game. There is no reason to fire him before then.

Do you actually follow LSU football? O literally told a caller he could put him a fishing hole on the radio last week. He is already getting irritated at softball media questions about his job status, and that’s just getting started. He supposedly lost his shite over a fricking video before the UK game. Do you really think this guy would agree to coach out the string on his best behavior?

After A&M.
We are paying O to recruit and might as well keep him doing the one thing he is good at. Doesn’t make sense to send him home and have assistants more worried about their next gig than recruiting.
