You don't have to worry about that. It can't happen. (2 SEC teams)

Hopefully arkansas will play good and win the A&M regional.

It seems a given A&M comes here, but if you look at a lot of the projections you have as many as 4 potential teams traveling cross country for supers. If the committee wants to avoid this, they could well send A&M out west and pair us with someone like UVa.

Yep, and the fact that there is one less SEC 1 seed (unless Kentucky is a traveling 1) screws the LSU Texas A&M matchup.

Pairing us up with A%M would be the most logical choice for the board. Plus it might make for some great games that could become Rival games in the near future.

Rice is also liable to be sent out west if travel matters to the committee. You are going to have one or two inevitably based on the seedings, but you can attempt to avoid the others.

The Big 12/Rice will have to be paired with each other. Teams will have to travel. There is no Fullerton regional this year. All the west sites are Pac 12 and they won't play each other.

My guess is thar the 4 west schools will be paired with the Texas schools and purdue.

But someone in the ACC will have to take a long trip too. Baylor minimum. Because three ACC teams won't be national seeds. And LSU and Florida are the only other national seeds East of the Mississippi. Unless USCe gets the last seed.

Although we always somehow to get Rice in our way whether it's in Omaha, the supers, or – in 05's case – the regionals, I really feel like the committee is going to go out of its way to matchup Baylor and Rice since they can't pair them with another Texas team.

That is all assuming that USCe is the 8th seed and not A&M or Rice.

The committee seems to surprise us every year. Can't wait to see what it is this year.

Probably a team like Liberty or Utah Valley getting in over SLU or ECU.

Yeah, also don't sleep on Cal Poly. The committee has a hard-on for western teams. Don't know if they are quite so adventurous as to pick UVU.

UVU

Even though they play in a non-autobid conference, I could see the novelty of a team that has only lost once since March (albeit against pitiful opponents) be enticing to the committee.

You sure about that Adam?

Unless something has changed, conference teams can meet in the Supers. See LSU-Bama, 1999.

That was because LSU was a 2 seed in a regional that year.

I think they CAN meet (you never know who wins the regional), but I think the committee avoids intentionally pairing them.
