That would be 3 very tough permanent games for them, and I don't think the Alabama SEC office will do that.

Agree there, but I’ll also say I think the same would apply to LSU. Bama, A&M, Ole Miss would be tough outs. For all the shite that gets talked about A&M on here the truth is the series is 4-4 in the last eight meetings, and the last two losses to them have been thumpings. And we know Ole Miss is now a solid program that just unfortunately for them tends to step on their own dicks at the worst times…

The three permanent rivals do not determine the entire schedule. If you divide the league into top/bottom tiers and say that Alabama is getting 3 top teams as permanent opponents, then the last 6 games will be chosen from 4 other top teams and the 8 lower teams. Odds are they would split them 2/4 and 2/4, so alabama would end up with 5 top teams and 4 bottom teams every year. Which is what the split should look like for a top team.

Don't overthink it. These will be the pods that create the annual permanent matchups.

Bruh. They have said over and over that there will not be pods. Each team will get a unique set of 3 permanent opponents.

Amazes me the LSU fans who want Bama

Agree, it is amazing.

Wiser LSU fans should not want Bama as a permanent.

and

Wiser Bama fans should not want LSU as a permanent.

If the two schools meet, let 'em meet up in the playoffs.
