Until they decide that RPI trumps conference standings. They flip flop

Like I said, they have been very consistent in favoring conference standings over RPI the last 4 years.

USM has had a good season and very solid down the stretch. NCAA wants to spread the wealth.

There is 0% chance they get a 10-seed.

After reading everything here, no way they are top 8.
If they don't host a super, they aren't making it to the CWS. I don't know what it is, but they are a totally different team when they're not at the Box

Georgia Tech winning the ACC, but not getting a host tells you that conference wins are not created equal. LSU could very well be the 6th SEC teams.

Doesn’t really matter as long as it’s top 8

2024 - SEC Top 5 RPI were Top 5 in conference standings, so no conflict. #1 and #2 seeds finished 1-2 in conference. FSU finished 1 game behind NC St in ACC, but NC St had 8 non-conference losses to only 1 for FSU.

2023 - Florida, Arkansas, LSU, and Vandy were Top 4 in conference standings and were seeded in that order. Kentucky was 6th and didn’t get a Top 8 despite being #2 in RPI. Wake, Clemson, and Virginia were Top 3 in ACC in the standings and RPI. Stanford won the PAC-12 by 5 games, which overcame their #15 RPI.

2022 - Tennessee and A&M were Top 2 in SEC standings and A&M got a Top 8 seed despite being #22 in RPI. Stanford and Oregon State were Top 2 in PAC-12 standings and RPI. Virginia Tech and Miami were Top 2 in the ACC standings and got Top 8 seeds even though UNC had the best RPI and Wake and ND were ahead of Miami in the RPI.

2021- Arkansas, Tennessee, Vandy, and Miss St were Top 4 in the SEC standings and RPI. TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech were Top 3 in Big 12 in both. Arizona won the PAC-12.

As you can see, conference standings had more weight than RPI when there was a conflict. Minor conference teams also were not given Top 8 seeds. Based on that, even though LSU is #12 in the RPI, I don’t expect Georgia, Auburn or Ole Miss to be ahead of them based on conference standings. I don’t expect Oregon State or Coastal Carolina to be ahead of them based on conference affiliation. I would expect Clemson to be behind FSU due conference standings and FSU is not high enough in the RPI. I’m not sure about Oregon. That puts LSU at #5 or #6.

GA Tech didn’t play the 2nd 3rd or 4th place teams in the ACC this year. And they lost series against the 5th and 6th place teams.

Don’t look now, but they keep dropping us. D1 just dropped us again tonite behind Auburn. Perfect Game has us 9. What a freakin joke. Regardless of the piss poor Ole Miss effort, how does unanimous #1 ranked team at end of year end up at 6 or worse???
