10-2 would be amazing but getting past Bama, Florida, Auburn, and even Arkansas is gonna be a shootout. Being realistic 8-4 unless our QB steps up its gonna be a tough season.

Im in the same corner. If LSU wins 2/3 from Tenn,AU FLa.= successful season, 1/3 not so much. Anything worse than 9-3 is unacceptable. Its a tough schedule and 11-1 or 8-5 is in the realm of things.

Lol @ saying a loss against Tennessee... They don't even have a quarterback, loss both RB's due to draft/transfer. Dobbs was supposed to be a god there and look what happened.

And Texas A&M. Haven't lost yet since they've been in our conference. It's a damn home game. And Sumlin has a dumpster fire of a team.

I didn't diss like your picks but your reasoning for the Florida game is weird.

Do you think we're better or not?

10-2 is realistic because shite happens but I don't think you can really predict the shite.

We aren't losing to Florida. Did you people not watch last year? With a competent OC we win by 21. We now have a great OC

Isn't this a thread about 2017, not about what we would've done last year if we had a different OC?

still banged up from the Bama and Arky game. We lose a close one to Tennessee. Hope and if I am wrong here we can be 10-2 or at best 11-1
If we lose to Tennessee then nothing else even matters.

We will not lose to Fla. Lots of folks appear to have conceded that game, and I don't know why.

LSU 34 BYU 14; this game is tied at half but
LSU stops thier run and takes the deep passes away with good pass rush and coverage, we score a TD on ST or on defense.

LSU 63 Chattanooga 0; total domination in all facets. Brennen plays the 4th quarter and passes for his first (2) TD passes in DV. What's left of the crowd goes nuts.

LSU 38 Miss State 17; miss state keeps it close until the final 8 minutes then LSU pulls away with a big play on offense and a TO which gives us short field to score another TD.

LSU 42 Syracuse 7; LSU Dominates the first half LSU sends Brennen in the 4th who scores his 3rd TD pass in DV.

LSU 56 Troy 10; at this point LSU leads the SEC in scoring and TOs. Clyde Edwards coming out party. Brennen runs one in at the end.

LSU 28 Florida 27; LSUs first real challenge Florida leads at half but LSU scores on an INT return for TD to take the lead in the 4th and we hold on with a goaline stand at the end. (Sweet Revenge) But the game could go either way.

LSU 35 Auburn 31; great game in tiger stadium, score for score, mistakes on both sides w/ big plays from both teams. Key sacks Stidham, strips him with auburn up 31-28 and scores. But the game could go either way.

LSU 27 Ole Miss 21; wet sloppy game but LSU finds a way to score points on the ground while Patterson proves to be slippery running and passing.

LSU 21 Bama 23; total team effort in this game with LSU driving Etling is sacked which causes him to fumble and Bama sits on the ball to run out the clock. But game could go either way.

LSU 35 Arkansas 14; Clyde Edwards Hellaire and Guice combine 380 rushing yards.

LSU 26 Tennessee 24; tough road game but LSU finds a way to get it done. LSU shows its toughness, leadership and determination in this game. Leaders; Etling, Guice, Moore, and LaCouture give half time speech to help LSU come back from a 24-10 halftime Tenn lead.

LSU 44 A&M 13; most complete game since the start of the year. LSU scores in all 3 phases. Defense has its best SEC effort. Very balanced offense 230 pass yards, 264 rush yards.

Basically I feel 3 games could go either way. The others LSU should get it done, barring further injury to the OL or any key players. 11-1 to 9-3. But at this time I'm not going to predict loses because I'm a fan like that. Go Tigers!

Am I the only one on here who thinks we beat Bama this year?

This streak has to end some time. Last year we were knocking on the door with Ensminger as OC. We've had other close losses (and some not so close). If you don't think O, Aranda, and Canada consider Bama THE must win this year, you're not paying attention.

If we had had some OL losses a couple of games into the season, we'd be saying that's part of the game, next man up. Sure, we've been burned so much lately, it's hard to get your hopes up, but I believe we beat them in their house this year.

I want to be optimistic, but I have a feeling our O-line will be a hot mess and cost us at least 1 game we should not otherwise lose.

When its all said and done, we are 8-4 again.

That would significantly better than "respectable".

BYU - W - talent owns this game for LSU and the Matt Canada offense shows people that this isn't the same ole LSU. 42-17.

Chattanooga - W - LSU comes home to Etling throwing for over 250 yds while Guice and Williams put up 150 yds each. 62-3.

Mississippi State - W - Matt Canada says hello to an SEC defense and wrecks shop at Starky. Cowbells fall silent when Fitzgerald can't do much against Amanda's hungry defense. 38-13.

Syracuse - W - talent, scheme, and a muggy Louisiana night prove too much for Syracuse who leave Death Valley seeking the Carrier Dome to lick their wounds. 45-14.

Troy - W - no explanation necessary. Talent alone wins this one in a snoozer. 56-0.

Florida - W - Florida's defense cannot handle Matt Canada's multiple look offense and LSU is up by two scores by the time The Jorts get their CWS rings at halftime. By game's end, LSU wins by 3+ scores. 35-14.

Auburn - W - Coach O will spare us the last-second drama and deliver a convincing win against the False Tigers in Death Valley. Auburn's QB loses his cool under the pressure and turnovers kill Aubie. 42-10.

Ole Miss - W - by this point in the year, having already lost 3+ games Ole Miss can't hang at The Vaught and Coach O leaves Oxford with some vindication. 38-7.

Alabama - W - both teams are undefeated heading into this game. Both defenses perform admirably in a low scoring game. The difference this year is Matt Canada. His offense finds a way to score late and Dave Aranda's defense comes up with a stop/turnover late to ice the game. 17-13.

Arkansas - W - The Piggies come to town and get roasted. Guide has another career game and Aranda's D pitches a shutout after coming close at Arky last season. 40-0.

Tennessee - L - the odd ball game (we always have one). Butch Jones' crew plays inspired football to stay neck-and-neck with Georgia and downs LSU with a late field goal. 24-21.

Texas A&M - W - Kevin Sumlin gets a sour going away party in Tiger Stadium. Tigers run through, over, and around A&M securing the win and sending the Aggies back to College Station STILL without a win against LSU since joining the conference.

11-1 heading into SEC Championship to play Georgia.

Tenn= Loss (A trap game where it'll be cold weather where LSU will play very sloppy)

Why do I keep seeing this? Ya'll know TN is still in the southeastern U.S. right?

Knoxville, TN - November average high 60, average low 41
Baton Rouge, LA - November average high 72, average low 49

I mean, yeah, it's a little cooler up there, but it's not exactly a trip to fricking Lambeau Field.

I said either way but I have to predict at least (1) loss. That's the most likely and it's away.

Beat damn Bama, but lose the next week to ARK. Also Florida jacks us again, so 10-2 and have to get lucky to get to SECCG.
