Bobby Moore has him penciled as the starter and the one who will take us to glory.
No one knows who will start except the coaches at LSU. Right now it is JJ. But there has been a lot of talk, which is cheap, about how good Zach really is. Was he told he would play at lot as a freshman to get him here to play fb and bb....No one knows but Miles......JJ can learn from the new qb coach and also watching all the other qbs. JJ needs not to play too conservative this year. So what if a qb throws a pick-6, they have to take chances soemtimes.....the only presure on JJ is to keep his starting job. It is his to keep, but if he keeps throwing the ball in the ground and not producing 1st downs, Miles will try the next best qb, who ever shows it in practice. If a player wants to play, he has to show it in practice. With the publicity Zach has and the fact that he might turn pro early, he could very well get playing time early,....depends on a lot.....I just hope LSU can come up with a qb out of this bunch to produce the wins........

We just need a rushing attack we can effectively play action off of and Jefferson will be a more than solid QB. Hopefully the OL will step up this year and not be absolute shite again.

Predict Jefferson's passing stats for the season
halftime change in Atlanta, quite honestly

He had 17 last year with no RB or o-line help. Is it really that unrealistic to think he may get 3 more?

I think he throws for around 18-21 td's
the run game should be scoring td's this year, and not putting the game on jjs shoulders

I just think they will run the ball more and pass less. I will say if he gets 20 TD's his INT ratio will go up as well, which may not be such a bad thing.

I see this being the year the wheels fall off the cart for Miles and Co. I won't project just Jefferson because I think there is going to be a mix match set at QB due to injuries, under performance, etc.
I'll say the team as a whole goes for 2850 (we'll be slinging it alot to get back in games)but I think we end up with something around 16 TD/15 INTs (I really think it could be a 1:1 regardless for the team.)

Fourth page and no mention of the long ball. If JJ doesnt get more time and become more proficient in throwing the long pass dont get your expectations to high for the offense, run or pass. Stats will not help if you throw and catch for five yards needing ten.

Its nearly impossible to predict JJ's stats without also predicting how the OL will perform, how Crowton's play calling will contribute positively or negatively to the cause, how the running game will develop, how Shep will develop as a WR, etc. QB stats are as much a team effort in achievement as they are an individual accomplishment.

Yeah and the fact that you constantly need 10 yards won't help you either.
Fact is, the offensive line was sub-par in both run blocking and pass blocking. Some sacks were JJ's fault too, be he also didn't have even a decent running game to depend on.

I honestly don't see Jefferson making it past the fourth game. Something tells me he gets hurt and never sees QB1 again

I think he'll pass the following
English, Math, PE, Typing, and Handweaving

wilfont, you are making too much sense.
And you missed a piece. There is some chance, from slim to big, that for various reasons - of skill, preparation and health, that Jarrett Lee gets the start v NC and never looks back.
