I don't know, but here are the recruiting rankings from September 2008 from BaseballNews.com ( LINK)...
As you can see, #6 UCLA and #19 Kentucky are the only teams ranked above #20 LSU that don't have more than 10 recruits (which is how many LSU had).

I wouldn't be suprised if DEANintheYAY is up for national preseason poster of the year.

Don't know, but I saw yesterday that Baseball America has both LeMahieu and Mitchell in the Top 100 overall prospects (high school & college players). LeMahieu was like 35th, even though he isn't eligible this year. Mitchell was 67th.

I THINK LeMahieu is eligible this year, due to his age. Not 100% sure but this has been discussed on here before.

That is there rating for the draft. That has nothing to do with how good a college player you are. Those two could be first rounders next year

He's eligible. At least that's what Will Davis says.

This is probably correct.

good to see we've added some bandwagoners after last years success
Posted on 12/9/08 at 2:38 pm to lsuougel
barbe won the last 2 state titles, but you are right just about every year they are in the top 25 in the country but a few years they have not finshed the job
Posted on 12/9/08 at 2:47 pm to lsuougel
I'd be happy to see us in the top 10 but I think we'll be back toward the end of the top 25 because we lost our entire weekend rotation, and might have to fill it with some guys who were key contributors from the pen last year (bradshaw and ross). Once the roles are set I think we'll make a run to the top 10
Posted on 12/9/08 at 2:48 pm to SM6
LeMaheiu is draft eligible as a sophomore. The rule is that you must turn 21 within 45 days after the draft date, which he does.

kids a stud, probably the best player on Cal-Fullerton this year in my book.
Alot of experts are really high on LSU right now. I think we start out at #2.

I respectfully disagree, I think LSU will start off the season higher than that.

Colon is fo real!
LSU has pitching as a question mark, but should be solid.
Fullerton will be solid, but while they return 2/3 of the weekend rotation and a closer, they have a few question marks among position players.
Once again Fullerton vs. LSU should be a home and home series from now until the forseable future!!

i think they will crack the top 10
maybe 8/9.
but preseason is meaningless.
a LSU and CSF home/away would be nice!
