Pre-season baseball polls

When the pre-season baseball polls are released, where do you expect LSU to be ranked? I know they lost several guys, but they have some nice help on the way along with the returning guys (especially Dean and Coleman). I'm excited as hell about this Spring with the prospect of having a top 25 basketball team and a top 10 baseball team. I'm not an expert on baseball by any means, but I'm thinking this team should start off the season in the top 5. Thoughts?

probably lower than most think they should be.
top 5? wow that would be nice.
I am just under 2 hrs away from Omaha and will be there if they make it.

Yeah, I was thinking top 3, and top 5 in worst case scenario. This team should have a ton of confidence coming off last year, and I look for them to return to Omaha!

I don't think many people will be dissapointed with a top 5 pre-season ranking, or for a top 10 ranking for that matter.

I still think top 10 would be a great start.

Me and you both. The pre-season polls are really meaningless, but it will be nice to see the prorgram regain some national respect.

I've heard on here that we'll be #2 behing UNC, but of course you can take that with a grain of salt. I mean in case you haven't noticed this isn't the most reliable place for information.

I live in Iowa and saw them play for the first time last year in Omaha. I for one am really excited about this coming year.

Collegiate Baseball should be coming out any day now. Baseball America won't be out until January.
LSU is set as far as defense and hitting are concerned.
The pitching needs to be sorted out (roles defined), but the potential is there. Will see a lot of fluctuation with the staff early and at beginning of SEC play but key guys are Bradshaw, Ranaudo, Coleman, Brown, Matulis, Ott, etc.
If the recruiting class pans out, next years pitching will be outstanding.
