I too was a college buddy of Blaine. I was traveling today and just saw the news of his passing on Facebook and now here.

In college, I used to call Blaine "Mr. Intensity". I know that he battled the melanoma that was ravaging his body with the same intensity. Unfortunately he lost that battle, and we lost a great member of the Tiger family.

RIP Blaine. May God bless his family and friends during their time of sorrow.

I will say many for Blaine today. He coached me in summer league baseball, such a good guy, he was so optimistic in the face of his hard fight reading his caringbridge page. Rest in peace

A little known fact, his father is the original creator of the license plate IAM4LSU. Still has it on a vehicle today.
