I think this guy will be solid and damn good but to say he WILL be Rodgers/Brady/Manning/Brees is just premature to me.

Is there any other position in the NFL where you think this is the case? Name a QB, RB, WR, etc. who isn't currently top 5 but will jump to #1 in 1-2 years.

Is he the highest paid QB in the NFL?

I did say these days with Jamarcus in mind. No more rookie deals like that.

He probably will be once his rookie deal gets close to the end, I don't really see your point here.

Kid is a stud already but hasn't figured out everything mentally and has some retard offensive coaches that don't want to unleash him. He will be #1 or 2 sooner than later. All of those guys are nearing the end of their career except Rodgers. So him and Rodgers will go back and forth on whose better at the moment.

Probably not actually. And as another poster stated, to say he will be #1 in two years or less is reaching.

Breesus got 10 more years left in him. So it is said. So it is done.

The original post said #1 or #2. He will be. Kid is a monster. Maybe not exactly in 1 or 2 years but he's also younger than Peterson which is who we're comparing situations too.

Wow dude, why didn't the Cardinals consult you before signing the deal? You seem to be an expert scout. Which team do you scout for? Oh wait, you sit on the couch and play Monday Morning QB. Keep up the good work.

He's right man. He is refuting PP being the best CB in the league to this point, which he clearly isn't. He is an elite athlete, with time to grow into that top guy, but he just isn't there yet. Some stout competition he is up against.

Smart teams pay based on what that player will do throughout the contract, not what they've already done.

You don't think Matt Ryan and Flacco were payed off potential?

Youth matters, especially at the corner position

Well.. You got me there. But to my defense, I thought those deals were fricking retarded at the time. I don't think PP's is.

His issues are mainly mental. He struggles against slants because he tends to overplay the outside. The quick routes get him because he tends to lose focus the backfield.

It's why he's struggled in the red zone. Corner is a unique position where youth and inexperienced are exploited easily.
