If those players were actually better than Welter, they'd be playing more. At this point, they are evidently not as good as Welter.
I am quite confident that our coaching staff might know just a little bit more about the capabilities of our players, and football, in general, than tbradley12 (Pelicans fan).
It is better to sit silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

I don't like to discourage hard workers, but Welter just isn't very athletic. It limited him severely.

A lot of people dont realize that Ryan Clark was extremely underrated at LSU.
Was voted to 2nd team All SEC his last year here. And thats awesome. But was still very underrated.
Then went undrafted in the 2000 draft. And wasnt even in the NFL until 2002.
Now, hes 1 of the smartest defensive players in the game, a Pro Bowler, and a Super Bowl champion.

Probably will get some laughs but Kendell Cleveland. He was caught up in a numbers game with Faulk, Meely and Collins but he was a beast when he was used catching screen passes.
