they should have just given the DMVP to Dorsey
7 tackles, a sack, forced fumble......he had just as good of stats as RJF.

Its not about the award.
Its about teamwork, hardwork, unity, etc..
anyway thats what people keep saying in this thread...but theres no point there considering it was only 2 players up on the podium.

I'm sure he was a candidate, but if I was a voter I would have voted for RJF last night. For 3 reasons: 1) Dorsey is the MVP of LSU 2007, eveybody in their mama knows that 2) Dorsey doesn't need any more awards he has enough, ask him
3) RJF EARNED IT

The 2 players accepting awards were on the stage. That's kind of the way it works. But like Big J said, who cares? They had plenty of "team unity" opps after that. I liked at the end when they were all on the set with Jimmy, CUM, and the rest of the FOX guys.

i didnt lose sleep over it or even notice it at the game
just saw some pics today of the post game and none of them had any players in them that have put in their blood sweat and tears for 4-5 years

No, that was at the beginning of the "Awards Presentation"

I actually thought Chevis might be it if not RJF. He made some pretty crucial plays, knocking the ball out of Robiskies hand and the INT.

No, it looks pretty sweet to me.

thanks rocket i hadnt seen that pic..

Chevis could have easily gotten it too, either candidate was worthy......RJF's story and what he said during the presentation was awesome though......Chris Rose's response to him speaking was great....
I expected CJ and GD to be playmakers tonight.....I didn't expect RJF to be as dominate as he was.....
We geaux 14-0 if he plays all season!!!

Thanks for the pic Rocket!
I was also surprised that Dorsey didn't win it. Don't get me wrong, I think RJF deserved it, but in a pretty close race, I was surprised whoever votes for those things didn't go with huge name who won all the awards and will be a top 5 draft pick.
Who votes on that anyway? Props to them for thinking outside the box. RJF is gonna have Dorsey like hype all next year now cause of that.

I was telling people at my work that about him because they didn't know who he was till the SECCG. To me he is like having two Glenn Dorseys' when he is in with GD. Both great at run D and can rush the passer like a DE from the inside. It's just too bad they didn't get to play a full year together this year. If either RJF or Charles Alexander play the whole year we have a completely different defense the whole year. No knock on Nevis or Woods but they are just not there at this point.

Well Dorsey's FF was recovered by OSU. It didn't change the scope of the game that much....
The block Field goal combined with his overall play throughout the game was huge....
The block FG was a 10pt swing.....3 off the board and we turned that opportunity into 7!

Like I said, RJF had a great game, but he is a Soph who couldnt even get his shite straight to play all season this year. They may not say it, but id bet it ticked someone off.
I'd be willing to bet you're wrong...
All of the "seniors" that you mention are class acts and understand the meaning of "team". Last night will stay with them for the rest of their lives as an unbelievable moment of accomplishment! Do you really think any of them are pouting because they weren't "on the stage".
I don't think so, these guys aren't wired like that...their selflessness is part of the reason they've been able to accomplish this National Championship.
Why do "fans" try so hard to find something to bitch about...
just enjoy the moment...BE HAPPY! We're #1!

This message board is made to spark discussion. Just posting something that caught my eye.
Rocket debunked everything I said though with his picture. And I appreciate him posting it and Im happy that ALL the players got to share in the special moment.
