Meh, that is not totally true.

While your looks will not make up for a complete lack of skill or talent, it certainly does not hurt anything. If it makes you more excited to perform the task at hand then I am all for it. Looking the part goes a long way in all sports, especially football, whether you want to admit it or not

I wish someone would have told our head coach this. We were the Penn State of Louisiana High School football. We had solid white helmets with nothing on the side. We wore school issued shoes that were plain black. Not Nike's - Adidas. We wore these boring uniforms all the way to the Class AAA title game. Oh, I played center so I got to wear a little hand towel so I did get to accessorize and that alone is why I earned All District honors.
