Nope... it's better for us. (assuming we win out)

A 12-0 Auburn in the SECCG would be the worst possible situation for us. They win it and we probably have less chance for a title due to voters. If they win SECCG we get a likely BCS at large, but that comes with the risk of an east team beating Aub, taking the automatic Sugar Bowl and Auburn getting the at large.

1 loss Auburn losing SECCG would put us into BCS as an at large. The east winner, USC or FL would be in the sugar and Aub would have 2 losses vs our 1 loss.

1 loss Auburn wins SECCG and 1 loss LSU has at large.

I don't think anyone has ever taken the loser of the SECCG for the at-large BCS bid. I could be wrong, but it's better to be the 3rd best team in the SEC (with a good enough record) than to be technically 2nd best (the loser of SECCG.)

I still don't think if we were sitting at number 3 and AU is 8 and they win the SECCG that they jump 5 spots to go over us. I could be wrong though.

If AUB beats UGA and loses to Bama they won't drop to 8th, they'll drop to one spot above us.

I think your right. But it was a hypothetical situation. If AU loses I think the drop to 6th.
