Possible 10 win season and bowl placement

ESPN is projecting LSU with 10 wins to play in the chic-fa-la bowl on December 29. I remember when tens netted a better bowl than this horse crap destination.

I highly doubt that we get Chick-fil-A if we go 10-2. We'd be the #2 team in the SEC and a possible top 6 team after it's all said and done.

People are idiots. The peach bowl is a major bowl now. And so is the cotton bowl. They were always the best non BCS bowls but had a stigma around them for some reason. Even better, the peach bowl is in an absolutely gorgeous stadium, has a huge payout, and would be against just as good a team (by rankinging within a few spots) as the sugar bowl.
It all depends on where UGA finishes compared to us. This year, the highest ranked non playoff SEC a team gets the sugar bid no matter what. So we will see how the committee ranks us compared to UGA after the SECCG.
Eta: if UGA finishes higher than us but we don’t lose again then we will be in either the Peach or the Fiesta and that will be picked by the committee depending on who else makes the list of at large teams and who they think makes the best matchup. So as for one of those it’s really a toss up at this point. But those are our 3 prime options if we win out.

Isn’t the Fiesta in-play as well? Assuming we both win out in the regular season, and UGA loses to Bama in SECCG, it doesn’t seem too far fetched to think one goes to Sugar and one to Fiesta does it?
Also does the Sugar Bowl have to select the team with the highest CFP ranking or does their committee get to decide?
