2. Baton Rouge/LSU's campus can get cleaned up and back to normal without having to worry about the logistical nightmares the game would cause

1) the only positives are hurricane cleanup and recovery. There is nothing about a week off will help this team.

Yeah, there's nothing positive about it. LSU could've used that bye week in November.

We don't get to play a team that runs a similar offense to AU.

Opponents like Ole Miss, Auburn, and Bama won't need to stress their brain cell comming up with clever game day signs. They break out the 05 signs and replace Katrina with Gustav.

Don't you mean Ike? It is projected to be in the Gulf by sometime early next week if it follows its current path.

Yeah, Ike should be hitting BR two or three days before North Texas. We have a lot of practice days ahead of us before we go to Auburn.

Its an off week. Which means we get an extra week to prepare for Auburn. I know we could have used the snaps but we should be able to prepare a little more for them. Im sure we have some guys that are a little nicked up. Let them heal some before the game.

1. yall get some rest and an extra week to prepare for Auburn...this means less injuries and yall will be more "fresh", coaches have more time to game plan etc.

2. Less film for Auburn...Troy runs the same offense as auburn so we no longer get to study yalls defensive schemes for that game....on the other hand yall don't get to have the experience of going up against the Troy offensive system for practice.

I hate that we can't go ahead and play this game. Will make the end of the season that much tougher with no bye week. Obviously the hurricane is more important then football, but this still sucks.
