but here is what I think we need of a DC.
My wish list as it were.
-no react and react philosophy...too much speed in the SEC, R and R will have the secondary making the tackles.
-one who uses many disguises in their formations
-one who believes in blitzing on a somewhat consistent basis
-not a laid back personality...aggressiveness is contagious.
-one whose D has been tested against PASSING teams.

Nice! this thread is coming along quite nicely. Sorry I couldn't update until just now. Xmas party last night.
Anyways, I'm pleased this his stayed fairly within the boundaries of what I asked everyone to do. I think it goes to show how divided everyone is on the DC issue and how there may not be just one answer. I put the top 5 in bold and I'll update throughout the day.
I may start a thread later this week and people can vote for JUST the top 5 or something to see what people think until we get a new DC announced (should be later this week I am thinking! Anyways, keep voting, or changing your vote if you like, just let me know!

Coach O.....hell of a recruiter...and would be perfect fire and ice combo with Les....we need someone that will throw the clipboard and get in a players face....we have all the talent in the world but play soft....ive seen better tackling in Katy Youth Football 9 year old league....and when a tackle is missed the coaches get on the kids more than our LSU coaches did....we need some heart on this team
