Don’t be an idiot! What would be the purpose of that? You think we’d get better with Dunn or Cain as the interim coach? I’d bet my bottom dollar the players would be pissed. Do a search, and replace Mainieri at the end of the year. If he agrees to take a haircut on his payout then treat him with full honors like Dale Brown has been treated; if not, then cut him unceremoniously and give him the cold shoulder for the rest of his life.
