I agree with most what was said except the part about Arnsparger. I thought he was a good coach.

Even Mac Brown had several years which most here would consider average at best.

I know we are a pretty tough crowd, but finishing no worse than 2nd in his division since arriving at Texas in 1998 is not average. 3 games in 2007 are the most he lost in conference during a season and 5 games is the most he lost overall which came in his second season.

Lester finished no better than 3rd place in his division during his stay in the Big 12.

Arnspager was a good coach...the best between Cholly Mac and Lil' Nick, but I wouldn't say he took LSU to an elite status, ie a National Championship Game appearance etc...Therefore still somewhat of a 2nd tier football power. That's all I meant...

Concordia res parvae crescent, carpe diem cogitationis poenam nemo patitur.

Great write, now make 10,000 copies and get real Tiger fans to leave them around the Athletic Administration Building. Give them to avid Tiger student fans that truly love their school and want to keep it a top tier Football Program. Share with all students, faculty members, leave them under those peoples doors that need to hear the people's voice.
Work together to accomplish more, sieze the day nobody should be punished for their thoughts.

I agree w/ you're assessments. When the game ended Friday I told our group watching that I was relieved the season was over, early '90's since I said that.
Relative to Alleva, he is not a Miles fan either, but keeping him is not his call right now.

You are right Stevo. Would that I could see as clearly as you! Better yet I should hope to have your pleasant demeanor and cultivated courtesy and manner...

Thanks for the kind comments..I know I'm not bringing any thing 'new' to the discussion, other than venting my opinion... Like many on here, I'll start to get excited when August nears..but right now, I'm still kinda pissed...

Therapy, may be in order...lol

You're right Dorsey07..the board members and big money folks will ultimately have to roll the bowling ball toward the pins...then Alleva will act...
