You'll never be an NFL talent scout.

JL will one day make a fine QB. He won't win the Heisman, he won't play in the NFL

I think if he gets to play, he actually will make it to the NFL. Kid's got an arm, and some moxie.

Why you assumed JL is transfering?

I would say JJ is transfering because he knows JL is much better than him and has more experience than him. Period

Ricky Dixon is gone, I think...along with fellow ESJ'er Francois. That's just speculation

Why did Dixon wait so long?

Hate to see Francios go, but we are not hurting at safety.

RJF- NFL? Okay, but he lost a ton of money this year.

I think Hatch and Lee will be there for at least another year, because there will be a slot for a good backup to Jefferson (especially if Shepard redshirts.)

Who is Garnett? Surely you aren't talking about the qb commit from Mississippi who isn't even at LSU yet? If so, that might be the "quickest hook" I've ever seen for giving up on a qb.

Not going to happen.

He will have a package of plays as a freshman.

so you'd feel safe with Jordan Jefferson as our starter next year with a FR backing him up that has never played a down of college football and who hasnt proven he can throw the football?

that is what it sounds like to me.

and NO I would not be comfortable with the aforementioned situation......

John Williams is an unfortunate situation. The kid is all LSU...from an LSU pedigree....and we can't get him on the field. I think he'll leave just so he can play somewhere...otherwise he's the next RJ Jackson.

John is not going anywhere.

Lee has shown plenty flashes of greatness. The Auburn, troy ( yes it was troy, but still), South carolina comebacks were all impressive and he lead a crucial drive at the end of the Bama game. Jefferson sucked the 2nd half of ole miss and the second half of Arkanasas ( a terrible pass defense). Maybe Jefferson will be a better qb, but you Lee haters have your heads stuck up your asses too far to see anything positive about Lee. He was a freshman qb and made mistakes, it happens. He showed plenty of signs of greatness and to keep crucifying the kid is stupid. You are probably the same people that were all over Jamarcus a few years back.

Young men transfer in and out of schools every year. That's no biggie.

I just wish we could get a few of our LSU fans to transfer to other schools...

So Garrett is going to transfer right after he signs his LOI?

Then he should shut his hole.

DD doesn't hint he knows anything, he just said he was asked about it and didn't want to comment until after the bowl game. WTF? An entire thread based on taking DD out of context.

LaFell, Ciron Black and RJF would be dumb to leave. Only if you are a first round pick should you leave if the salary cap will come into play in 2010. I have not see any of them in the mock drafts as first round picks.

I've seen it written that Stefan Francois is "in the doghouse" and now everyone is speculating that he is transferring. Does anyone know any specifics on why or is this just conjecture? Does anyone know if he was big buddies with RP and was pissed because he got kicked off?

I think J lee is a obvious choice.

The time for Lee to consider transferring will be after next year.

He still has a chance to emerge from Spring and Fall practice as the starter...even if it's not likely.

By the end of next year, he will have a clear picture of whether or not he has any opportunity at LSU.

Merely possibilities:

Lee

Stefoin Francois

John Williams

Among upperclassmen - pure speculation

[Since KW didn't redshirt, I'm not sure if the rules allow him to sit out 2009 (were he to transfer) and play his last year in 2010, or does he lose a year, regardless, without a release?]
