Play Action Pass.... and Timing Patterns....

Watching the Bama/MS St. Game last night (or the 1st minute of) I noticed how the play calling was very similar to the play calling against LSU in the BCSCG last season.
They spread the ball around to involve all play-makers in the game plan, from the start of the game. Most importantly, they are not afraid to run play action pass on 1st down!
If called and executed correctly, play action on 1st down (especially on the goal line) is very difficult for a defense to defend.
Furthermore, the pass routes that Bama's WRs are running are usually timing patterns. Three step drop, and pass to a WR who runs a quick out or curl or run to open space...
Is LSU capable of running such an offensive game plan. And if the OC calls the plays, are the WRs/TEs/RBs able to run the routes and/or is the QB capable of making the read and making the throw???
Just curious, because it is common knowledge that LSU can run the ball effectively, but I think we as LSU fans have yet to see a fluent and effective game plan thus far in 2012 that includes both running and passing the ball with efficiency... the SC game was the closest thing to LSU's perfect game so far...
But Im not sure if the play calling is the cause of lack of productivity in our passing game, or if it is the lack of execution on the part of some of the players on the field???
I love the Tigers and want nothing more than to beat Bama. So hopefully the coaches and players play the most complete game of 2012 this coming week!!!

One thing we really haven't shown this year is play-action passing out of the running sets. If we do that, we keep Alabama off-balance along with some misdirection screen plays.
Disclaimer: Not saying the OC actually worked on this last week.

We're really more effective when Mett throws immediately after the play fake but he has a bad habit of waiting until the receivers are open and they usually aren't.
