re: Plain and simple, why do some of you have such a issue with JJ?

I don't know about anyone else but I actually watched our games in 2009 and 2010. I could post our stats through that time for the umpteenth time, but I am weary of the whole thing. I have resigned myself to the fact that a coach I generally like gets a hard-on for certain players and an a strong like for others, and no amount of unhappiness from the fans and/or media is going to change that. Scott Rabalais this morning called it "Miles infatuation with Jefferson", and I think that says it all.
And how are we to do this exactly? I posted earlier this week that I felt like Les was about to shat upon JL yet again, and unfortunately, I was right. Call this a trap game, a Gump hangover, whatever. What I saw was a halting, stumbling offense against a completely overmatched team, during our first night game in Tiger Stadium in months, on Homecoming. It was not that different than the NW Louisiana game, which also could have been a letdown game, and yet, that team looked crisp and efficient and didn't have us wondering midway through the third quarter when we were going to assert out dominance. Last night I saw 2010 all over again, with the difference being a much deeper stable of running backs and an OC that realizes that.

no way you're serious. I've seen most games since 95-96ish, and watching 98's defense or 99's offense was way more painful than this.
Agreed... A certain Jamie Howard comes to mind.

Just throwing it out there, maybe it's because of the four drives in the 3rd quarter, 3 resulted in touchdowns. The fact that the offense was, well, working, doesn't make a good reason? I would've liked to have seen Lee earlier as well, but to say you can't understand the reasoning? You have to be intentionally obtuse. I also don't understand people who are complaining about how awful the offense looked. JJ was the QB for 8 drives, not counting the one at the end of the 1st half in which the clock ran out. The offense, in those 8 drives, scored 5 touchdowns. On the three failed drives, only one was a three-and-out. I don't see this horrible offense everyone else seems to.
Post of the day and you should start a thread with this.

Both qbs are not very good. The meltdown over which one plays and starts is embarrassing and laughable at this point

I've watched every game at least 3 times(not the last one yet) They are not the same. They are not even close. JJ is a poor passing QB forced to be a run/option QB. He's just not good at it.
What is JL good at that JJ isn't? I can't wait to caveat this.

shite, I didn't know lsu was so awesome on offense last year. Putting up games of around 500 yards and all.

Not a good leader. Forget about the Shady's incident, do you ever see him on the sidelines? When things aren't going great, he has that pissed off look and doesn't talk to anyone and just pouts. Whenever Jarrett Lee does something good, he looks even more pissed. He cannot read a defense. He waits for a receiver to get open before throwing the ball instead of throwing him open. He is not an accurate passer. He is an overrated runner.

This guy along with a few others seem to be the only ones with a properly functioning brain in this thread.

Gave JL a hug last night after JL's td. That's some pretty good sportsmanship, especially since LSU was playing WKU.

Watching Jefferson is bad enough, but it is HOW HE EFFECTS THE OFFENSE IN GENERAL - AND OTHER SPECIFIC BALL CARRIERS/RECEIVERS - that is painfully obvious and evident!! Jefferson is always out of sync. He moves very funny, weird. He "telegraphs" everything he/we are doing. The defense has a full 2 to 3 seconds to move/respond. He zeroes in with lazer focus on precisely what/where the play and ball is going. JJ "JAMS" our ball carriers/receivers with the ball with very poor and mis-timed passes/pitches/handoffs.
Jefferson simply "JINXES" the offense and those around him. He breaks the team's spirit. As soon as Lee comes in the game (for those with eyes to see) there is a NOTICEABLE body language change in the players and they all have a little more "step" in there movements and play.
LSU's offense looks entirely different when LEE vs Jefferson (painful to watch) is quarterback. WE WILL NOT WIN THE 3 CRITICAL GAMES WE MUST WIN IN ORDER TO GET A NC THIS YEAR IF JEFFERSON IS ALLOWED TO PLAY ANY MORE THAN JUST CERTAIN/SPECIFIC DESIGNED DOWNS AND PLAYS!!

I dont get his method or reasoning for doing that.
No one else does here either.
I don't think anyone does but that doesn't require anti threads for every pass he throws. JJ threw the ball great. All I saw were threads that he underthrew the ball....I wonder if those JL guys said that when JL underthrew that bomb that the cb had both hands on. The hypocrisy is what pisses me off. I don't care who plays as long as they play well and LSU wins. But both should be subject to the same praise and criticism when warranted.

Yeah, JL can't be trusted to hand the ball off to Blue, can he?

JJ threw 4 passes in those first 4 drives in the second half to which you are referring Baloo. Why not mention that those were basically all great plays by the running backs.
The running game took over in the second half, particularly Blue.
Les just doesn't give a shite about the fans' opinions. He proved it last year. He's stubborn like most top coaches. Fans just have to accept that.

Slow thinking..indecisiveness..needs to make dicisions quicker...needs to release the ball quicker...need any more?...
