name me some rummel grads that have had an impact at major d-1 level in last 10 years not named steltz?
Daris Wilson- QB was the 2 yr starter at Bucknell and possible Patriot League MVP his SR year i think.
Keith Chatelain- 2-3 yr starter on OL at Kentucky
Lamar Mills- 2 year starter at DL for Kentucky
Bennie Mills played on a talented FL DL before transfering
Sean Comiskey- 2 yr starter at K at ULL
Parquet saw time at Memphis
Matt Chatelain has started for 2 years at Souther Miss
Michael Burks was Auburns leading rusher as a FR
Steltz Bros at LSU
those were players from my years at Rummel, off the top of my head.
there are tons more who signed scholarships, and a few more that had impacts im just drawing a blank

i believe he said major D-1, other than Chatalein, Mills, and Burks you named no one. Dont mention Parquet, he couldnt cut it at LSU so he had to leave.

The river parishes have always put out great skill players. The catholic league tends to recruit the RP heavily. yes i said recruit.

I love what I saw from Lonergan on film and have no doubt he can be a great player, but the River Parishes produce a shite load of talent.
quote:Jai Eugene, Corey Webster, Ed Reed, Laron Landry, Rondell Mealey, Brandon Jacobs, Ryan Perrilloux just off the top of my head.

i think the 2003 hahnville team had at least 6 players sign D-1 scholarships.

we got from 1 district, with players who have made an impact, to the whole river parish area and players who havent done anything in college, or play a skill position.

your point?
you people ask me to name players at Rummel who had a major impact in college..then you brag about these awesome skill players from the river parish district...
now we are bragging about players just signing D-1.
make up yall mind on what you are going to try and call me out on.

Darrius Reynaud WR WV, Craig Turner RB Central Florida were both backs on the 2003 Hahnville team. Not to mention that team should have also had Chris Markey RB UCLA (i trust you remember him since you attended Rummel, he went to Jesuit.)Chris Brown TE UT, (also went to Jesuit but was from Destrehan.)

Saban was a terrible evaluator of OL, IMO.
yeah guys like whitworth, black, helms, arnold (i believe), wilkerson, herm, etc show that

Huh? You asked about the River Parishes, so I just listed some. There's a list just as long from NOLA, I wasn't knocking Rummell just pointing out that there is a ton of skill talent along the River Parishes.

yeah no doubt..
the one guy was cracking on the Catholic League and Rummel not sending any good players D-1..
and then he claimed in the next breath that the River Parish district was putting out these skill position players..
Darius Reynaud....hmmm who else that has made a big impact?
and Brandon Jacobs was from Assumption parish...I dont think that is included in the river parishes, i may be wrong though.

lol..do u know what a skill position is?
QB, RB, WR?
which one of those players played that in college?
Rondell Mealy?
Congrats.
Brandon Jacobs is from Assumption parish
now lets try this again...who are the skill position players you are talking about?
you know, when you made this false statement:

In all honesty the Catholic League doesnt produce much talent in the college level. the river parishes produce a hell of alot of skill players
