That is what I thought too.

Pitching has been so good the last 2 days!

Throw Hurd, need to know if he can be reliable, nothing to loose by trying

I’d like Ack to get the ball. Very similar situation in the CWS last year.

Dutton in this cave of a park could be very effective. He’s a strike thrower.

Think we gotta try Hurd. Big ball park, try to get him going again. Just fill the zone, trust your defense, and keep hitting the ball.

Its bizzaro world turn around month. Which can only mean one thing.

Give Christian Little the mound and get the frick out of the way.

A loss basically just moves us to the same spot on the other bracket that a win would on the current bracket.

My take is that having at least two more games in this tournament could be great for another starter to emerge before the regional. Anderson, Hurd, moffett, etc. could use these innings against SEC competition before the regional.

Would rather not over use Ack or Herring this week if we can help it, and keep their typical pitch counts for outings.

In my not so humble opinion, I don’t believe that winning any more games in this tournament will affect our seeding in regional, so why not try to see if Hurd can throw strikes and be an asset going forward?

Throw Hurd,

agree....give him one more shot with all the momentum we have right now, it could give him the added confidence he needs....combined with the performance he had in the post season last year. Get Hurd going as our third started and with the 3-4 guys now heating up out of the pen....watch out.

I agree hurd should get another shot. We need him. However, I don't agree about seeding being changed the longer we stay in tourney. If we win tomorrow we will be in serious consideration for a 2 seed, with an rpi around 17 or 18. We win 2 more games and we end up with an rpi around 15 and a KPI around 10 or lower. Right now we likely a high 3 seed. We definitely can get to a 2 seed, imo.

Good point, but if the tigers are not hosting a regional, If I were hosting a regional, I wouldn’t be happy about having these Tigers come town
