Pistol Pete Appreciation Thread

I was watching highlights on Youtube last night of the basketball legend Pistol Pete Maravich. I unfortunately wasn’t around during his playing days, so I never got to see him play live. I still remember seeing the movie about his life, The Pistol: The Birth of a Legend when I was a kid. This man was way ahead of his time and was doing things with the basketball that no one else was doing. He influenced so many superstars that came after him and tragically died way too young.

I thought I would make a thread to celebrate this LSU legend and for everyone to share their thoughts and memories of him.

Well,I am old enough to where I got to go to all of PP's games for free since I had my Lab School id card. His play on the court will never be matched. And he was very accommodating, signing programs for me after each game...

Lol I think I picked the wrong day to make this thread, everybody is caught up in the Saban/Jimbo drama.
