I called in to Gordy Rush on his show last year, and had a followup email exchange with him about it. It seems to be universally hated by fans, but he said the powers that be went around to all the other SEC stadiums to see what they were doing, and decided it was the wave of the future. His opinion was it is here to stay no matter what.

I dont know what kind of research they did, because one thing we can all agree on is it sucks. Maybe a mass email campaign would work. Or we could start booing and throwing things when the music comes up to get our point across.

Actually the team pays the bills. If LSU is winning, fans will come to the games even if they're playing gay porn over the speakers. No one really gives a shite what you think about the music paw paw

People that don't care about football love hearing mainstream songs to dance to. Which right now is a large portion of the student section.

It's funny people still bitch about this. TGBFTL is by far the best band in college football. However, my Gen X arse loves it when they play some good music. I'm sick of ...I'm from Louisiana, but whatever.

I've never been a fan of band music. It's from a bygone era. But if you have to listen to music from the 1930's, then TGBFTL is the best!

Only people I hear bitch about it are folks my Dad's age. He's 73. So there you go.

Most ignorant statement I have read on this board.

The team pays the bills? Lmao

BTW if nobody gives a shite why is LSU asking season ticket holders about how much it bothers them?

Not even close.

Not even in the top 3 of the SEC West. (And I'm a GBFTL Alum saying this)

Used to be one of the best under Wickes and Moorhouse, but it started declining greatly under King and hasn't bounced fully back yet under Llinas. (The shows are better under Llinas, but the numbers are not back to where they should be yet)

They got destroyed by the actual best band in college football last season. (Jacksonville State)

Troy is almost as good as JSU, but I don't know if they are bringing their full band this Saturday.

If all of you love that dogcrap so much, just wear your headphones and you can make believe that you are at home in the hood instead of at boring Tiger Stadium.

The damn brass Tiger Rag and all those songs are from the Huey Long era. Hell Huey wrote one of the songs. If you like ragtime and music from the Tippicanoe and Tyler too days then enjoy it. I like it from time to time. But frickin GNR's Welcome to the Jungle and Metallica's Enter Sandman kicks all that crap's arse.

Less band more piped in music. (Oh and the only pipe in that music is the one you are smoking).

... just kidding it's all good actually.
