I never understood the recruitment with this kid? A great high school quarterback back but in my opinion, not on LSUs level.

Burrow didn’t win the Heisman because of a great arm. Physical potential is not what wins the job. If Finley beats out Johnson it’s because he performs better at decision making.
I have no idea which of them is the better decision maker, but being the son of a coach certainly helps.

Grad transfers aren’t looking to be backups most of the time. Especially if they are any good.

No. Here we go with the fake racially offended bullshite. Man grow the frick up. Lowell Narcisse sucked no matter what color he was. The same goes for Parish. Both seemed like malcontents and if they are both black then that is just the way it is. Both never had much of a chance of being an LSU starter due to their lack of talent and attitudes so the OP's point was correct. Man some of you are such pussified SJW's.

i don’t understand why it isn’t racist to generally assume blacks are better WR and RB than whites (which they are) but whites are generally better quarterbacks than blacks (which, let’s just be real, they are) . It’s simple statistics. That doesn’t mean there can’t be great white RB’s (hello Christian McCaffery) or great black QB’s (looking at you Pat Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Lamar Jackson).

Idk what the exact situation was that caused him to leave LSU, but he was never going to contribute for us. We have way too much talent on our roster at qb now and for the years to come. He made the right choice and left early at least so he can go somewhere else and actually have a full college career there.
