They are Both cheaters like 99% Of ALL coaches at ALL Levels. Saban & Pete are 2 of the best. Also they were both 2 of the best DB coaches , then DC minds but when you get the biggest baddest guys to fit your needs it's easier to coach and win.

“Unmitigated failure”
Not sure you know what this means and I’m definitely sure your standards would change depending on your bias. Pete Carroll was 16-16 his first 2 seasons in the NFL, one game better than Saban, and there’s your proof. 15-17 in 2 seasons isn’t an unmitigated failure for rebuilding a franchise, especially when they were 4-12 prior to and 1-15 immediately after. Carroll inherited a Super Bowl team btw. He wasn’t fired, he left because the guy who hired him was selling the team. Looking at opposing coaches as good guys and bad guys is truly as childish as it gets.

The medical team failed him as well with the advice to not sign Brees. That's the story I heard
