-The majority of last year's semifinal Ole Miss team that Kiffin built returned this year.
-This game meant more to the Ole Miss players, most of whom played for Ole Miss last year. Most of LSU's roster have no dog in the fight re Kiffin leaving Ole Miss.
-It was an SEC Top 10 road game in a hostile environment. LSU spotted them a quick 17 points but rallied to make a game of it.
-Chambliss was the difference- a 24 yr old, 6th year player and probable Heisman winner. Yet we lost on the road by one score.
-Analyzing the LSU schedule preseason, most people including LSU fans marked this game as a loss. I had us going 9-3 with this schedule and a new team. It's disappointing but not the end of the world.
-LSU should improve this season and I have every confidence that Kiffin will build a contender here. It's gonna take more than one year, much less three games. Stay positive, the future is bright.

It’s as simple as their QB is legitimately one of the best college QBs I’ve ever seen and we were on the road week with an entirely new team. I hate we lost to those bastards but I’m still high on this team and encouraged by the way we came back.
BK’s teams would’ve folded at the half and lost 45-10.

Not around here. For some reason people refused to acknowledge that this OM game was always going to be very difficult for Lane emotionally and that Chambliss is a very very good QB
