Why? Payton is one of the best coaches in the NFL period and has done an incredible job with the Saints. He’s worth every penny and then some.

How does Payton being completely honest and admitting he was wrong make him a jackass?

He could've said something self-serving like it's because of my tutelage that he's doing what he's doing.

I don't give 2 fricks about the NFL or the Saints and it would be nice, just ONE time for me to check this page and there be some Saints lovefest on here! That is why they have their own page called the Saints Board and THIS board is for LSU info and LSU fans!

Wow. O knew Payton had a diamond on his coaching staff before Payton did

Nah I think it was more Payton didnt believe, as a majority of tiger fans believed, that O was truly going to allow the offense to be changed and opened up.

Sean was probably expecting what most fans of LSU have been conditioned to expect.

I think many people are still commenting without watching the video.

For context, SP was about to accept the Raiders job from Al Davis, and Bill Parcells told him it 'was mistake' and suggested SP wasn't ready to be a HC.

SP remains very grateful for the advice to this day. I'm sure he was simply paying forward the mentorship to another up-&-coming coach, but can still laugh at his off-target advice.
