That's just the facts.

My biggest problem with Chavis was the Auburn game. We had defensive players so badly out of position it was a joke. It's like we didn't even practice for Auburn's offense the week leading up to the game. Aside from the fact that it was just a poor effort where 11 guys weren't running to the ball, if 1 person missed a tackle, it was a huge gain for Auburn.

Same thing with Ole Miss. He is clueless when it comes to defending those types of offenses, and it pisses me off. Just shows me that he is unwilling to make changes, and adjust. He's gonna run his shite, and if it can't stop the opposing offense, so be it. It's been that way his entire career.

Gonna play my 2001 Matt Mauck card one more time here. If you can't stop that LSU, Mauck-led offense with Haynesworth, and Henderson, something is wrong. No adjustments at all made on UT's part, and you lose because you can't stop a QB draw.

Chavis is the best DC ever at LSU. It was the players' faults for being out of position.

That doesn't mean very much. Where you rank in the rankings depends alot on what other teams do. You can still finish first in alot of areas and suck.

We allowed more points per game in 2010 than in 2009. That's just the facts.

I'm a douche and want to fight Chavis because I think he's a mediocre coordinator? Okay.

I'd take 10-2 and a slot in the seccg right now and be more than satisified. If Miles can make it to the seccg with JJ as the starting qb, he'd be the coach of the year imo.

WTF? Not even close.
In the last 10 years we have had 2 better than him - Will Muschamp and Bo Pelini. Throw in Nick Saban and Bill Arnsbarger (the former Miami Dolphins DC when they went undefeated) for kicks besides Paul Dietzel.

What on earth has Bo Pelini done? At all?

The 2007 LSU defense wasn't that good. Chavis > Pelini, at the worst they are equals.

Agreed on the rest of the cases though.

If you already knew that, then you'd have never made the post you made because you'd be less concerned with rankings and more concerned with actual numbers.

Irrelevant. You said we had improved every year Chavis had been here but you can't give up more touchdowns and allow more points per game than the year before and say that is improvement.

I would be too if I were you.

The expectations for next season are insane. I don't get it. I have an expectation of a West Title. That is all I expect. This BCS talk is gonna burn Miles if he has a two loss season and no West Title. The fall from where I am and the BCS talk is a big gap. Les has to go to Atlanta or he will get hammered by the fans. The fans have to do Les a favor and tone it down a bit.

Les has pretty much done this to himself.

The 1 enormous question mark going into the 2011 season is again the QB position. By giving JJ an award, and saying how much he has shined whenever talking with the media, Les has created these high expectations.

The story pretty close to what I see as well. Will be very hard to go without a loss with this schedule. If we win the west that would be great. Anything more than that would be icing on the cake.

Absolutely. Without a doubt the toughest I've seen since following LSU football.

Chavis isn't the best LSU DC ever?
Wasn't last year's LSU defense our greatest ever? Or did that concept fade quickly too?
