I don't care if it was grounded in the best intentions in the world. The guy was a total unprofessional hack in this entire thing and it not only cost LSU our original pick, but about four other picks as well. The guy is a dumbass, and it's tough to figure out a way to have another perspective on the matter.
just keep in mind that there is a reason that the public does not know why he changed his mind

my guess is that if you did know that you would reconsider your opinion

that's all i'm saying

Do you know why he did it?

These cryptic "I may know but I don't know but you think I may know so that's all that matters" posts are the worst.

I have thought about what could be reasons to justify his actions and I'm having trouble finding one that would make any plausible sense.

Agree especially since his reason for leaving is probably no bigger than he got cold feet.

i really dont know

i the huge media world that we live in, combined with how crazed LSU fans are about everything, it doesnt seem curious to you that we dont know why a coach accepted a job and changed his mind within days?

just seems to be common sense that there is an important reason why it hasnt gone public

they are only based on rumor, but i've heard everything from Coach Giroud wanting to keep her hand in the softball camp cookie jar to Coach Murphy's personal life causing the change of heart. like i said, i know nothing.

Seems very strange.

Based on reports, it doesn't seem this way. That would certainly make more sense but like I said, there aren't too many excuses that would justify how tacky and unprofessional this guy seems.

The first reason makes absolutely no sense as it seemed as though she was the main force in getting him here and we've been down that road before with the camp stuff.

I really do hope that this isn't the case. If it is, then we're back to the good ole boy ways of hiring coaches.

I hoped that LSU had finally gotten away from that.

The administration wouldn't do that at this point.

It's not that rumor started from joke thread made by a poster on tigerdroppings right after Murphy left. Think about it, it's one thing when Skip could name his terms with his successor because it was one of the best jobs in America and he was going to be AD, Yvette couldn't do that. Alleva certainly has no reason to give her camp money for nothing.

This would require logical thinking on the part of many on this board. Just as Rouge tries to view this from Murphy's perspective, which is fine, he should also think about this reasoning from the perspective you just posted.

Britni Sneed might have warranted job offer if Torina was your fall back candidate

But she does have ties to Tim Walton so I'm sure he gave a good recommendation

Great hire and what we should have done with women's hoops. Hire an up and comer for peanuts, and if you win some ball games and don't lose too much money we'll talk about a raise.

I disagree on the women's basketball front.
