bobby Bowden had 300 freakin wins, you think Florida st gave a crap about that
Yeah they did because he coached about 10 years after he should have retired. Hell the man was 80 when he retired.

At some point, a coaches run comes to an end. Mack Brown at UT, Fulmer at Tennessee, Bowden at FSU.
Its not to say they are awful or that we hate them it just there comes a point in time where the coaches magic is no longer there and you just have to move on.
Who knows, LSU could be way worse off with the next hire. We won't know until we try. We have fall a lot over the last few years, we aren't even close to sniffing a chance at a playoff birth. I'd rather go down swinging rather than conceding, which is what we are doing right now.
I really do pray that Les proves me wrong next season but I've seen enough to convince me strongly that its likely going to be the same outcome.

There are 2 types o people who wanted Les Miles back
1. those that legitimately think he is the best man for the job
2. fricking idiots who don't know shite about football, but LES MILES IS A GOOD MAN
i don't know the proportions of them

Agreed.
Les has a cult of personality surrounding him right now with sheep everywhere.
Dangerous things happen when this becomes apparent and these figures become much harder to remove.
I don't want another JoePa or Mack brown going on here as nobody is supposed to be bigger than the team itself.
