watching nova and unc play and then thinking how bad lsu really is and how far away both the program and the coaching is from being at that level is disheartening to say the least.

Obviously not happening.. But if we could get any coach we wanted I'd want Greg Marshall from Wichita St. What he has been able to do with that small school is incredible. He makes that team always capable of pulling off upsets and makes sure his players play one defense no matter what which is why they are so good on D.. And how he makes sure his players know how to rebound no matter their size is remarkable. That is why they led their conference this year in rebounding even though they don't have the size one might say to do that. He is the best coach in college basketball at this time.. Not Calipari, not Izzo, not Krzyzewski...

"whom which never once" - Pretty clear you're a member of that 90% Club so I wouldn't cast aspersions on your own kind.

There is no reason why LSU can't have a top tier basketball program. We have one if the top 5 most profitable athletic departments in college sports, and money talks. We just have to be willing to invest more into the program. Non-traditional basketball have risen to prominence before by hiring the right coach. Just look at Billy Donovan at Florida. He brought them 2 national titles and 4 Final Fours.
