i dont think the injury risk is that great.

Agree. That risk is certainly worth potential reward.

I agree I'm speaking as if I were the coach. If he did get hurt imagine the shite storm Miles would face. And that would hurt the D and special teams significantly.

I'd actually like to see Shep at qb. PA roll out passes where he has the option to run or pass with TT, RR, and possibly Peterson out at WR.. could be a explosive offense.

If he got hurt, then one thing for sure is Miles would def be out of there next year . Just messing dont want anything bad to happen to PP7

Yea that would be just as awesome. We just need someone else at QB and have some freak athletes that could play it for us.

If JJ and JL can't get the job done. At least give Shep the chance. With him being able to escape the pocket and out run defenses it would put a lot more strain on the defense to stop us.

If it stays the same and he doesnt give Shep a chance, then its a huge mistake. Shep is still working out with the QBs at practice.

Idc for the lil pissing fights on this board with the JJ and JL debates. I just wanna see the best qb play. Idc if it's a d-lineman i just wanna see the best team out there.

He's shown the ability to contribute in all three phases in high school, it's not like it would be something he's never done.
quote:

Final senior (6-5) stats: 733 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns (9 rushing, one kick return and one punt return). Defensively, he had 21 tackles and five interceptions.

Junior Season: Johnson had a big junior campaign recording seven interceptions and 54 tackles on defense. He recorded 11 total touchdowns on offense. Johnson returned three kick-offs for touchdowns and added 10 rushes for 213 yards.

It's a moot issue, we can't get the idiot to run the wildcat(or anything else with a hint of creativity)... what makes any of you think he would use Peterson on offense?

It may be fun to talk about but in reality playing PP on offense is really more stupid than anything that Les Miles has ever done.

It makes no sense to take one of the best DB's in the world and try to put him on offense, especially when the offense is already loaded with playmakers at all the skill positions except QB.

Patrick Peterson on Offense? Thoughts?

I say let him play running back on first downs, wideout on second downs, left tackle on third downs, then he can punt on fourth down and stay on the field to play cornerback on defense, unless of course he would be better utilized by having him run up to the pressbox to help Chavis call defensive alignments.

If we actually used him on offense we might win a game by fourty... This is just plain unacceptable to coach miles as he sees that as being unfair to the other team... At least let them think they can win

I can just see the Rant if PP is injured while playing offense.

"That dumbass Miles playing our best defensive player on offense and gets him hurt."

We have other guys that can pull off the Wildcat without using PP.

i haven't read the responses in this thread, but wildcatting it with pp, shep or randle makes too much sense, so it'll probably never happen under les miles watch.
