Two totally different positions, and playing under two totally different play callers.

"we're comparing apples to oranges here. peterson is a shutdown corner that could probably cover most nfl wideouts right now. laron is a head hunter that is out for blood."
Landry's head-hunting skills were suspect in 2006 against Florida when he and Daniels together were tacking Tebow. He dragged them both for several yards before they were able to bring him down.

This seems to be a common occurrence among LSU's safeties (see Chad Jones).
Last game 2 Ints. for 62 yds.(Note: Chad had two in the two years playing.) 5th. on the team in tackles. A few KO and Punt returns.
Overrated?

Could Landry play CB?

but LaRon Landry is the best defensive player I have ever seen play at LSU
Wow Tommy Cassonova and Glen Dorsey! Pretty strong statement.

eric berry was a cornerback comming out of college then coverted to safety. Could PP play safety?
I think if PP stays healthy, he will be one of the most decorated defensive players in lsu history.
And i don't think its a stretch to say he could play in the nfl right now.

what sort of player do you want PP to emulate? A gladiator like Landry? Landry reminds me of Jack Tatum from the 1970's. He was responsible for making an opposing player permanently paralyzed frrom one of his hits. Is that the sort of legacy that we want to encourage?
