He was almost HC at LSU. One of the greatest QBs to play in the SEC.

I remember him almost leaving TCU to coach LSU. He had a big buyout and TCU prolly threw some more Cash at him. Dinardo came to LSU. Sullivan only lasted a couple of years more at TCU as I recall.

Very sad. I was living in the Fort Worth in the 90s and in order to get my college football fix away from LSU, my wife and I had TCU season tickets Jim Wacker's last year and all the time Sullivan was coach.

TCU football in those days was not like today, it was basically like a big high school game, we had prime seats. It was a pretty tame atmosphere except for A&M, Texas, and Oklahoma, when opposing fans filled the stadium.

It was fun going, we saw LaDanian Tomlinson play and Pat Sullivan had them going pretty good for awhile. I told my wife, I wish LSU would hire Sullivan. It was pretty cool when it looked like it might happen and disappointing when it didn't.

R.I.P. Coach Pat Sullivan.

SEC had some damn good QBs.
Archie, Sullivan, and Bert Jones, right in a row.

No. Don't erase this thread. It's not possible to have too many threads calling us to remember a man like Pat Sullivan. He was a fine athlete, a fine coach, and a fine man. Many prayers will be offered for his family due to threads like this.

Thank you for reminding us that there are some men who are beloved by fan bases that span many universities and conferences because there are men such as Pat who are deserving of such love, adoration, and respect.
