I haven't been to Oxford since they started requiring parking passes to get on campus for game days. (when I was in school there we parked in the Grove on game days)
If I want to go to the square, where is the best place to park? And if I take a shuttle to campus can I bring a small ice chest on the shuttle?

To be fair I’ve done it in the past. I’m just poop posting these days mostly though.

How about some restaurant recommendations.. I'm not going to scour over tripadvisor.
This thread may persuade me to drive to Tupelo after work tomorrow and take in the game at a bar or restaurant on the square Saturday.
Thanks for your input Reb.

So I went to a fun city with tons of hot girls.
Hmmm...interesting. Who are you pulling for this Saturday? Your Alma Mater or LSU?

Here is my tip to have a good time in Oxford and The Grove - know someone. Unlike most other tailgates around the SEC, the Ole Miss faithful typically aren't going to invite you into their tent in The Grove. If you don't know someone with a setup, you'll be wandering around the entire time.

I would advise anybody actually going to Oxford for the first time to not follow BugaPainTrains advice. If these are places BPT goes to, then its probably actually a list of places to avoid.
Ask LSU fans who have been before. Not a spoiled rich brat who is going to Ole Miss on daddy's dime, and has only been there a few months.

Was it like that way in College? Did you "dress up" in Rebel garb during the LSU game, or were you decked out in LSU gear?
Do you pull for Ole Miss in any other games?
Also, let's say LSU is playing Nicholls State and Ole Miss is playing Georgia at the very same time, who are you watching.
This is just interesting to me.

Ole Miss has some of the nicest college bars you will see around the country, they aren't ratchet like Tigerland and many adults have great times at our bars. You should be prepared to pay a cover that you're probably not use to paying though, it'll be anywhere from $10 all the way to $100 depending on the bar and what time you goto the bar. If you aren't going to the game make sure to get a wristband early to avoid paying a bad cover, if you goto the game its in your best interest to get to the square as early as possible to avoid paying a high cover.
