We didn't try to run it enough which has been a strength for us. And then when we do try to run we give it to Emery who hardly ever plays

Earlier in the season they tried running for it on 4th and 1 and it didn’t work, and it cost us points. They got pilloried for that. You call a play that you think might work, and sometimes you just don’t execute. Against Bama, I probably would call a pass, but what do I know. All these coaches on this board know what scheme to run, play to call and make personnel decisions far better than me. I don’t know why they haven’t been hired.

That's his MO. If there's a gap he's gonna find it and get his food. If there isn't a gap though, he has absolutely no inclination to even try to bounce it outside.
He'd be a Heisman candidate if he learned to hit the pile then spin out and take it to the sideline.
