Were both Horrible!!! For everybody saying it was JJ's fault look at this how many times this season has JJ been able to sit in the pocket and let a play develop? I dont remember any times this season not even against UL!!! and also our playcalling is so damn predictable where was the play calling from the Georgia game I guess it worked so they got rid of it!!! Gary Crowton and Les Miles are pissing me off really!!!

You are the only smart poster the Tiger Rant has on here. Respects to you.

But isn't that all part of being a good QB, recognizing pressure and moving yourself around in the pocket to gain time? Getting rid of the ball quicker as well?

The O-line probably played their best game last nite.

I counted to four on a couple of plays and the ball was still in his hands. JJ needs to load and fire and step up INTO the pocket ready to fire. Good QB's instinctively move up and away from pressure. The OL wasn't at fault on some of those plays and I'm normally ripping the OL.

I say the bigger fault goes to the play calling.

Well if he tries to throw it down field, he will get hit hard, the ball will not reach the WR, and it will be picked off, in some cases. I think the coaches fault is that they should have a RB right next to the QB every time so that when he feels pressure, he can dump him off to the RB. However, there were never any RBs in the game so Jefferson couldn't pass it to him.

compaired to what game UL??? everytime JJ dropped back he was flushed or he had to take the sack because there was no extra time!!

If jj learned how to step up instead of taking a ten step drop he would eliminate half of the sacks he takes.

Do we not have a QB coach? Jimbo Fisher was...he coached them. Who does that now?

What I don't understand is why Crowton didn't roll JJ out? My God! The poor kid was being harassed most of the night, yet all Crowton did was put him in the pocket.
AND......
Do we have a frickin' play in the GD playbook that actually puts receivers in motion?!?!?!?!?!
If so, where in the hell is it?????? Our receivers were having a tough time get open quickly. Putting someone in motion once a damned while will allow at least that guy to get some separation.
Our offense is just way too vanilla, and Crowton has forgotten, apparently, about running some plays to set up others.
I'm wondering if Jefferson just doesn't have that great of a grasp on the playbook, or what, but even against the #1 defense in the country, LSU has enough talent on offense to get more than 162 yards.

I remember in the 3rd qrt on 2nd and 7 or so on our own 20 we were in shotgun with kw at rb. JJ dropped back had plenty of time and kw ran a short out rout. he was open might not of gotten the first but would have been a short 3rd down. JJ didn't see him and took the sack. You can't do that as a qb

Idiots did ya'll not see JJ last year against ARK. and GA. TECH. Did he look like that? NO!!! He had a o-line that could block. What? Ya'll think he forgot how to play like that over the offseason? He is the same, the o-line sucks. Geez people open your fricking eyes.

My point is that Crowton isn't helping either the O-line or JJ by simply having him drop straight back. Move him around. Give him options.
Also, he's not doing that great of a job with second half adjustments. Opposing defenses are killing us in the second half. He's being outcoached.

My point exactly. My posts are all about coaching. People need to get off JJ. It's the o-line not being coached to do their jobs. And lack of overall coaching, teaching, and developing of SMART football players.

is this a joke? we didn't score an offensive touchdown for starters.

The O-line certainly hasn't played well, but on quite a few plays last nite, I saw some of Florida's D linemen getting their asses handed to them.
