D was confused by trick plays like the center bouncing the ball off of the QB’s chest.

O has no clue what’s going on on a football field. He’s solely reliant on his coordinators.

This statement is the most damning thing with this performance. O has no idea how or why we were good last year. Aranda, Brady, and burrow did all of the actual football work and O just cheered.

How could LSU have been a 19 point favorite. I hope no one lets him live that down until his next SEC championship. What a misstatement.

And Baylor looked crisp and efficient and disciplined.

O wanted to take a dig at Aranda and puff his chest. Of course it came back to bite him.

correct. It was unnecessary

Aranda is the one LSU coach that I had multiple interactions with, he was always very pleasant. Of course I never mentioned football

They looked good. I don't know what O's deal with Aranda is, but he should thank Aranda for having the D good enough to deal with the anemic offense until O found Brady.

O is insecure because he knows Aranda is way smarter than him and O couldn't understand his defenses. And he's always resented that him getting the job was tied to keeping Aranda. No coincidence when he got the chance to hire his first d coordinator he went with a fellow early 2000's meathead who runs about the simplest defense known to man.

There is no reason for it, honestly. O got the job not on merit, but due to politicking. He literally sold himself on the job by virtue of getting the best coordinators.

I understand the logic of why he went with Linehan and Pelini, as they aren't in danger of leaving, allowing for some continuity, but they also aren't exactly at the cutting-edge of thinking. I'd rather he go with young coordinators who leave than these dinosaurs.
