So, in your opinion, the handful of projections of 6-6 had nothing at all, subconsciously or otherwise, to do with O's previous track record as a head coach?

Just as relevant as any talking head. Of course you won'tr accept that you were monumentally wrong.

I posted two professional predictions, one 8-4 (correctly predicting a 5-3 SEC record) and the other AT LEAST 8 wins. Care to discount those?

He's only concerned with ones that fit his narrative

It's actually more relevant, since most of the O pumpers love to tout the line that O beat what fans (i.e. "haters") thought he could do.

It's not my opinion, it's what was written. Actually the article says 6-6 does an injustice to Orgeron. It doesn't say he's the problem, it says he's the reason 6-6 is too low.

[quote]But then they lost to Alabama, which is one thing. Everyone loses to Alabama. Losing to Arkansas in the follow-up — allowing 299 rushing yards in a 31-14 defeat — is another, and that’s apparently why Miles is now on extremely shaky ground entering the final two games of the season.
quote:
the fan base has seemingly grown tired of Miles’s conservative, run-heavy play-calling (a tactic that’s been abandoned by Alabama and even Arkansas, to a certain extent).
“Pair that with habitual problems with penalties, delay of game issues, and this year’s special teams breakdowns, and it’s a recipe for dissatisfaction, on the verge of changing over to apathy,”
quote:
Off the field, one would be hard pressed to find major boosters, big financial supporters of the program, who are in Miles’ corner. His cultivation of those relationships has been wanting,
The ole lie that Miles was fired for losing 3 games can be put to rest. His issues started before 2015 started.

Where are they posted? If it's professional, I wouldn't discount it - but a fan poll? LNCHBOX never ceases to amaze me.

So if we beat Wisconsin and Auburn and start the season 4-0, you think he'd still have been fired following the Auburn game?

He was fired for not winning the West, which is hard to do when you're losing 3 games. No one would bat an eye if we were having 2011 type seasons regularly with that offense, but it was the exception.

Just take your L like a man. I told you it was here and nationally, and I was spot on.
You just want the bar to be as low as possible so there is no possible way 0 can never fail to reach it.

You do realize that one of your posts predicted 7-5 and said they could get to 8-4, right? Setting the win total at 7 but could get to 8 ..as long as...as long as...as long as...
quote:
Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 7
The Tigers will lose at least two of the four key road games against Auburn, Florida, Arkansas and Texas A&M, and but they will win at least once in the massive games against Miami, Georgia, and Alabama – most likely, against the Hurricanes.
The key is avoiding the Troy loss of last year against Louisiana Tech, and there can’t be a blowout loss like there was against Mississippi State – there can’t be any mistakes.
As long as the Tigers take down the home games they’re supposed to against the Bulldogs, Ole Miss and Rice, and as long as they do what they do and pull off a few big wins in tight games – like last year’s victory over Auburn – they’ll get to eight wins.

ANd there are several that have 9
quote:
9-3 At the risk of oversimplifying things, LSU’s success, or lack thereof, in 2018 will come down to two factors: 1. Focus and effort week over week 2. Continuity on offense If the 2018 Tigers come out looking flat and unprepared like they did against Mississippi State and Troy last year, this team could very easily look up five games into the season and find themselves worse off than 3-2. If the team that LSU put on the field during the middle stretch of 2017 shows up and the offense hits its stride under Ensminger and Joe Burrow, LSU will be in every game on their schedule.
Take your goddamn L like a man.

Not to mention you were all up in the 0 is an upgrade over Les thread.
In terms of making viable change and trying to lead the program back to prominence....he is IMO....but only in this regard.
His record so far is no better than Miles.....but I def like the direction of the program better at this point compared to what Miles was doing at the end.

Called it.
All you're doing by only using the people with the low expectations is showing that those people are clueless. Why should they be trusted when the majority of people that voted here got it right on the money?
you are just embarrassing yourself at this point.

“ I guess you missed 10 and 3”
If you want to see 10-3, 5-3 in a 13 game season with a worse O as some kind of significant difference between 9-3, 5-3 in a 12 game season, knock yourself out.
The advent of the playoff poll has reduced the importance of other polls. I’m not saying a top 10 ranking doesn’t speak well, it just doesn’t speak as loudly as it once did.
“ objectivity”
I’m not sure you’re the right person to be knocking the objectivity of another, but you surely have the right to your opinion.
