He was the D-line coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Assistant Head coach whatever that means

To my knowledge, Carroll ran the defense when EO was there. Carroll later on hired Nick Holt to be DC at USC.

Carroll still pretty much controls the defense and did so while coach O was here

He knows defense, is a great recruiter/motivator, and i think he could bring back some pride and intensity to the defense like what we used to have, and wouldnt teach the dline this read and react p***y shite that everyone is sick of
